Course Dress Code
Widnes Golf Club maintains a proud heritage where excellence on the greens is matched by the conduct of our members. Our dress code ensures that every player contributes to the refined atmosphere of our historic course, upholding the traditions established over a century ago.
Men
Permitted: Tailored trousers or golf shorts, collared shirts tucked in, golf shoes with soft spikes, sports socks.​
Women
Permitted: Tailored trousers, culottes, tailored golf shorts or skirts, golf shirts with collars, golf shoes, sport socks.​
Juniors
Permitted: Smart golf attire the same as adult standards; neat appearance is essential on all course areas.​
Footwear Policy
To maintain the pristine condition of our course, Widnes Golf Club requires all players to wear recognised golf shoes. Soft spikes are mandatory throughout the year to ensure turf protection and player safety. Metal spikes are strictly prohibited on the course and in the clubhouse areas. Please ensure your footwear is clean and free of debris before entering our social facilities, where smart casual shoes are permitted.
Enforcement & Etiquette
Widnes Golf Club maintains a commitment to tradition and excellence. Our Course Marshals and Professional Staff are empowered to monitor attire and etiquette across the grounds. Non-compliance with the established dress code may result in a formal request to change or being asked to leave the playing area. We appreciate your cooperation in preserving the standards of the game and ensuring a premium experience for all members and visitors.
